If immediate assistance is required (medical emergency, hospitalisation, repatriation, urgent support), the traveller must call the 24/7 assistance hotline of Koala's assistance partner before taking any initiative. This ensures rapid intervention and coverage activation.
Step two
Assistance coordinated by phone
The assistance partner: • Assesses the situation • Coordinates medical care or services • Organises transport, repatriation, or on-site support when needed Some services require prior approval from the assistance centre to be covered.
Step three
Claim submitted online (if applicable)
If the event leads to reimbursable expenses, the traveller submits a claim through an online form and provides the required supporting documents (medical bills, reports, invoices, etc.). Koala guides the traveller through each step to ensure clarity and completeness.
